שמואל טפלר
טבע דומם, שמן על בד,35x25 ס"מ, חתום, עבודה איכותית, ממוסגר. שמואל טפלר, ישראלי, יליד פולין, 1998-1918. עיקר יצירתו של טפלר היתה בתחום מדיום הציור. מרבית העבודות צויירו בפורמטים קטנים בצבעי שמן. עבודות אלו, אופיינו בהפשטה צורנית, בנטייה לשימוש במשטחים ובהנחת מכחול אקספרסיביות. משתמש בנושא המצויר כנקודת פתיחה וכחומר גלם לתרגום לשפת הצורות והצבעים הפרטית שלו. ביצירתו טפלר עושה שימוש במשטחי צבע אחידים ורחבים בכדי ליצור את הקומפוזיציה הסופית. טפלר ניחן ביכולת מופלאה ליצור ציור אבסטראקטי "טהור" ויחד עם זאת לשמור על קשר עם הנושא המצויר.(בחלקו צוטט מגלריה יאיר).
