Immigration Certificate from Cyprus. Rare - The British government decided in 1946 to send all illegal immigrants which are caught to detention camps in Cyprus. The immigrants remained there until the end of the British Mandate and the establishment of the State. Their evacuation was completed only in the beginning of 1949. The immigration certificates were given to two women. They are signed by a representative of the Jewish Agency. These women were passengers on the 'She'ar Yeshuv' ship in April 1947. Condition: Very Good. Few stains.
