Most Rare Document Sent by the ”Schora” Company in Italy to the Jewish Community in Haifa. 1924 - The ”Sechora” Company operated in Venice, Italy. It was founded in order to expand the trading activity between the Jews in Italy and their brothers in other countries. The company has been totally forgotten and this might be the only document in the world that indicates its existence. Before us is an interesting, rare document – a letter sent by the manager of the Company, M. Craver, to the leaders of the Jewish community in Haifa, February 1924. The letter is written on the official stationery of the company. In the letter, the Company requests that ”flour and semolina be bought from it for making Matzah for the community”. The letter ends with a comment: ”your letters can be written in Hebrew, Italian, French or Ashkenazic, as you wish”. The document is typewritten in poetic language. The letter is signed by the manager M. Craver, who filled in various details throughout the letter in his handwriting, in green ink. Condition: Very Good. Folding marks. Filing holes that have widened.
