Rabbi Azarya Pigo (1579-1647), one of the well-known rabbis of Venice, the rabbi of Rabbi Moshe Zacuto and Rabbi Shmuel Aboab. Author of "Gidulei Terumah" on Sefer Terumot. The Chida, in his book "Shem Ha'Gedolim" writes that he had also written a book of Responsa, which has been lost. The book before us was printed in many editions with approbations by the most prominent rabbis, who greatly praised it.
