The War of Independence - Three Important Items - A. A black-and-white photograph of taking captives at Auja al-Hafir (Nitzana). The picture shows about six captives led by two soldiers of the Negev brigade. A jeep and several additional soldiers can be seen on the background of Tel Nitzana. 16x12 cm. Condition: Very Good. B. Induction Order to ”Sheirut Ha'Am” – 11.1.1948 Typewritten letter with a name filled out by hand from the management of ”Hitachdut Merkaz Ba'alei Melacha Ve'ta'asiya Ze'ira Be'Tel Aviv” (Association of tradesmen and small industries of Tel Aviv). ”Sheirut Ha'Am” was a system for the general induction of the Yishuv during the period between December 29 1947 and the establishment of the State in May 1948. It was established by the leadership of the Yishuv and the Haganah. Condition: Good. C. Form ”La'Am Ba'Matzor, Reshimat Ha'Sarvanim” (for the nation under siege, list of insubordinates) – a table with 4 columns for filling in the details of the insubordinates, with their signatures. The form was used for writing the details of those who refused to donate to a fundraising campaign for assisting the illegal immigration and the families of the Jewish prisoners who had been arrested by the British. 18x13 cm.
