The author, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman of Warsaw (1765-1839) one of the great Rabbis of a great generation, the Rabbi of Warsaw for 20 years, corresponded about halacha with some of the great Rabbis of his generation such as Rabbi Akiva Eiger and his son Rabbi Shlomo, Rabbi Yaakov of Lissa, the ”Divrei Chaim” of Sanz and others. (1), 107 leaves. Condition: Excellent. Slight stains on the title page. Original binding. b. Chasdei Yehonatan, containing two parts. Part one: novalle on Talmudic topics, Maimonides and other Poskim. Part two: novaelle and pilpulim on Halacha and Aggadah. By Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshutz. Published from a manuscript which had never been seen, with glosses and novaelle from the publisher Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Zelig Goldschlag. Piotrkow, 1897. First edtion. With approbations from many great Rabbis, among them the ”Avnei Nezer” of Sochatov, the ”Sdei Chemed” (with a special poem which he composed, which talks of the greatness of the author and the publisher), the Aderet, Rabbi Chaim Berlin and more.
