Pictures of the Destruction of the Study Hall in Solfia-Nova, Poland, 1929 - A picture in which of Jews standing next to the ruins of the Study Hall in the village of Solfia-Nova in Poland. On the back of the photograph is written: ”The ruins of the new study house and houses close to the study hall such as Shmuel Zilberman's etc. – from the fire of 1929, September 30 1929. In Solfia-Nova, environs of Kielce, Poland”. Solfia-Nova is a small village in Poland 40 km from Kielce. The Jewish population of the village was completely destroyed in the Second World War. We do not know if the fire was an accident or if it was a malicious expression of anti-Semitism. 9x13 cm. Condition: Good.
