In the book are ownership stamps of Rabbi Gedaliah Shmelkis, Av Beit Din of Przemyśl. In the section of the Tosefta are many handwritten source references and glosses. The sources which Rabbi Shmelkis brings here show tremendous genius in the entire Talmud. Rabbi Gedaliah Shmelkis (1859-1928) was ordained by his primary Rabbi and uncle, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmelkis author of ”Beit Yitzchak” and by Rabbi Zvi Orenstein, Rabbi Yitzchak Aharon Itinga, and Rabbi Shimon Sofer. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehoshua Zilber of Tarnow. From the year 1898 he was appointed as Rabbi of Kołomyja. From the year 1894 he served as Av Beit Din of Przemysl. Was active in advancing the settling of the Land of Israel. Wrote ”Immrei Reg”esh” (Piotrkow, 1931) and more. f. Kereti u-Peleti, on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, by Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeschutz. On the book's title page is an ownership stamp of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Tikochinsky (1870-1936). From 1894 he served as Rabbi of several communities in Poland.
