A Collection of Books with Dedications, Signatures and Stamps, and Copies from the Libraries of Rebbes, Righteous Men and Great Jewish Leaders - a. Ashli Ravrivi – Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, with its commentaries. Lemberg, 1865. On the title page and the subsequent leaf is an inscription and signature of Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Pearlman of Mishelvitz, the son of Rabbi Naftali Binyamin the Rabbi of Mishelvitz, one of the primary disciples of the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim of Sanz author of the ”Divrei Chaim”, succeeded his father as the Rabbi of Mishelvitz. At the top of the title page is an ancient signature, apparently of Rabbi Naftali Binyamin of Mishelvitz. Additional inscription on the title page: ”My father z”l died on Tuseday of the portion of Chukat the 26th day of the month of Sivan 1886”. b. Chiddushei HaRashba. Tractate Menachot. Warsaw, 1861. At the beginning of the book is the ownership stamp of the Gaon of Sosnowiec, Rabbi Shlomo Sztencl (1884-1914) a holy man and miracle worker, in his youth he studied in the yeshiva of the author of the ”Avnei Nezer”, he was appointed as the Rabbi of Czeladź at the age of 20 with the encouragement of the ”Knesset Yechezkel” of Radomsk. In 1908 he was appointed as the Dayan of Sosnowiec and served there as the Rosh Yeshiva of the ”Yagdil Torah” yeshiva. Died at the age of 35. In recent years some of his teachings have been published in the book ”Chiddushei HaGaon M'Sosnowiec” which combines his two works – ”Kohelet Shlomo” and ”Beit Shlomo”. His son was Rabbi Yonah Sztencl, the founder of the daily Mishna and daily Halacha learning programs. c. Peirush HaRosh L'Talmud Bavli. Vilna, 1898. At the beginning of the book are a number of handwritten signatures: ”The small one Chaim Friedman of Rachov – apparently this is the signature of Rabbi Yisrael Chaim Friedman, the Rabbi of Rachov, author of ”Likutei Maharich”. Additional signatures and inscriptions: ”The small one Yechezkel of Yadaznik”; ”I learned here in the congregation of Chust from Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky in the year Pora”t the small one Yehoshua Heschel of Arkowitz”. d. Pirkei Avot, with the commentary of Rabbi Ovadiah of Bartenura, and with the commentaries ”Mili D'Avot”, ”Ta'am Zekeinim”, by Rabbi Yisrael Yosef Tonkleng. Warsaw, 1879. At the beginning of the book is the handwritten signature and stamp of Rabbi Yosef Menachem Lipsky of Grodzisk. Torah novaelle by him from the year 1927 were brought in the book ”Netai Eitan Chamishia” by Rabbi Avraham Zakheim. e. Petach Ha'Daat – on the laws of melicha in Yoreh Deah. Includes ”Amudei Zahav” – a commentary on the the Taz, ”Siftei Chochmah” – a commentary on the Shach, ”Masach HaPetach” – an introduction to every siman. Rabbi Neta Freund (1924-2014) served as the Rosh Yeshiva of the ”Etz Chaim” yeshiva alongside Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, and taught thousands of students from amongst the members of the Old Yishuv. g. Chiddushei HaRan on tractates Baba Metzia and Gittin, with the novalle of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. Sudylkow, 1836. Second edition. On the book's title page is an ownership stamp (smudged) of Rabbi Eliyahu Kletzkin, and a handwritten inscription that the book belongs to the Rabbi of Lublin. g. Sermons for all of the Shabbatot of the Year and the Festivals, by Rabbi Yitzchak Nissenbaum. Warsaw, 1923. At the beginning of the book are ownership stamps of the Rebbe Rabbi Chanoch Henoch Twersky (1886-1979), the son of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel. The son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Yerushalmsky of Kishinev. In the year 1914 he began to serve as Rabbi of Radomshil, and in 1919 succeeded his father as Rebbe. In 1924 he emigrated to Chicago, served as Rabbi of the ”Lev Sameach” congregation for 40 years. He immigrated to Israel in his last years. h.
