Dudaei HaSadeh – responsa, compiled laws and pilpulim on the early and later sages on hilchot smachot, by Rabbi Eliezer Chaim Deutsch, Av Beit Din of Bonyhad. Seini, 1929. First edition. At the beginning of the book: ”Evel Gadol LaYehudim” – a eulogy on the death of the author by his student. With various eulogies on the Rabbis of the generation and words in memory of various Rabbis. On the title page of the book is a handwritten signature: ”Naftali Freund”. On the page after the title page is an inscription: ”This book belongs to the pious Rabbi who is great in Torah and Chassidut Rabbi Naftali Freund”. Rabbi Naftali Freund (1860-1933), author of the responsa ”Pnei Levi”, the Rabbi of Rozan. In his youth he corresponded with the leading Polish Rabbis about halachic questions and answers, among them Rabbi Chaim Elazar Wachs, Rabbi Avraham Bornsztain and others. He was a famous mohel. Authored the booklet ”Notzer HaBrit” – a halachic and practical guide for circumcision, which was printed in his book of responsa ”Pnei Levi” (Piotrkow, 1904). He was involved in the famous polemic regarding his halachic ruling permitting oil made of kitniyot on Pesach. In the book are a number of ownership stamps of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund. A handwritten letter of condolence was found between the book's pages, most probably in the handwriting of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund. Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund (1904-1996), the Ga'avad of Jerusalem after the death of the ”Minchat Yitzchak”. Served as lecturer and Rosh Yeshiva in Bonyhad, Hungary and as Av Beit Din of the Eida Chareidit. Known for his great righteousness and for his holy customs. Condition: Good.
