Gadlut Ha'Adam - Shanghai, 1945 - Author's Dedication to Rabbi Shabtai Yagel - Rare - An article by Rabbi Yaakov Emden from the introduction to his prayer book, with commentaries on the greatness of man according to Mussar. By a student of the Mir yeshiva, Rabbi Elchanan Yosef Hertzman. Shanghai (China), 1945. A unique book, as it was published immediately after the Holocaust by a yeshiva student in China. There are very few works which were printed for the first time in Shanghai at that time. First edition, including ”Comments on halachic topics”. In the second edition, which was printed as a facsimile in 1947, these comments were omitted. At the end of the booklet is a poem on Mussar topics. At the beginning of the booklet is a dedication in the author's handwriting. [6], 34 pages. Condition: Good. Slightly brittle leaves. Slight tears in the margins of the binding and the leaves.
