Pesach Haggadah - Offenbach, 1800 - Pictures Hand-Drawn by the Printers - Rare - Pesach Haggadah, אויפס נייא אינס דייטשי איבר זעצט אונד מיט ניטצליכה נמערקונגן פרזעהן. The order of the Haggadah in Hebrew with a translation and comments on the Haggadah in Tze'ena U'Re'ena script [Yiddish], one underneath the other. On the title page is a colorful drawing of a deer, a house and a jug of oil (the symbol of the printer, Zvi Hirsch Segal), with additional drawings, branches and flowers. Inside the Haggadah are a number of wood carved illustrations. All of the illustrations were hand painted in a wide range of vibrant colors. The painting was done immediately after the printing. A few other copies of this Haggadah with colored pictures are known, and from here we see that these pictures were colored by the printers. There are differences between the pictures in the different copies, as they were hand painted. A unique and interesting phenomenon! 40 leaves. 18 cm. Condition: Good. Slight blemishes. The spine of the binding is damaged.
