A Prayer Leaf - The Beginning of World War II - Amsterdam, 1939 - Rare - A folded prayer leaf with prayers for the salvation of the Jews in the Second World War. On the first page ”A Song of Ascents from the depths” with a Dutch translation, under the title ”Said from the beginning of the war, the end of 1939”. On the second page is a Yehi Ratzon, and the prayer ”Our brothers the entire house of Israel” with a facing page translation to Dutch, under the title ”After the decree of 1939 this was prayed on every Shabbat and festival”. On the third page ”A song of ascents, I raise my eyes” with a Dutch translation, as above. Amsterdam, 1939. Published by E. Mozes. Does not appear in the Hebrew Bibliography! 14x22 cm.
