”Jerusalem Amulet” - Jerusalem, 1940 - Handwritten Dedication by the Eldest of the Kabbalists Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri - With Corrections - Amulet for success and protection against the evil eye. A rectangular amulet. At its center a circle with an illustration of a cock, on its four sides stars-of-David and around them the words of the amulet. On the right and left of the rectangle Cedars of Lebanon and tiny illustrations of the holy places. At the bottom of the amulet ”a remedy for longevity and livelihood … blessing for God's help”. At the margins of the leaf: ”this ancient leaf was found and we have reprinted it”. The amulet was copied and published by Reb Yosef Eligula. At the bottom of the amulet, the eldest of the Kabbalists, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri, wrote: ”May it be for Your mercy and kindness that you have mercy on the store-owner … and may he succeed in all he does and anywhere he turns, he will profit and the Evil eye and will not dominate him nor any sickness …” There are holy names on the amulet, which due to the printing have been obscured. Rabbi Kaduri completed these names in his handwriting so the amulet shall work. 28x37 cm. Condition: Good. In an old frame. Dampness stain at the bottom of the leaf.
