Chafetz Chaim / Shmirat Ha'Lashon / Chovat Ha'Shmira / Printed Dedication by the ”Chafetz Chaim” - Interesting Inscription in the Handwriting of the Author's Son - Three books by Rabbi Yisrael Meir Ha'Cohen, the ”Chafetz Chaim”: ”Chafetz Chaim”, ”Shmirat Ha'Lashon” two sections and ”Chovat ha'Shmira”. The three were printed in Warsaw, in circa 1839. With a printed dedication by the Chafetz Chaim on the reverse side of the title page to Avraham Myers of New York, who distributed the books of the Chafezt Chaim. On the reverse side of the first title page, the name and address of the author were printed in Cyrillic script. In the copy before us, the above were erased and beside them it was written ”Leib Popka” – this was most likely written after the author's death and the selling of his books was passed over to his son, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ha'Cohen Popka. The three books are bound together. Condition: Excellent. Original binding.
