Large Collection of Documents Signed by Forty of the Rabbis of Jerusalem - the ”Etz Chaim” Yeshiva - 1942-1948 - A rare, unique collection of official receipts on behalf of the ”Etz Chaim” Yeshiva, which were given to the rabbis of the yeshiva and to its Avrechim. The signature of Rabbi Zalman Zelaznik, the head of the yeshiva, appears on each of the receipts as well as the signature of the rabbi or Avrech who received the receipt, who eventually became the most prominent rabbis of Jerusalem. Following is a list of the rabbis who signed the receipts: Rabbi Isser Meltzer (served as the head of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva). Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach (received on behalf of his brother Rabbi Avraham Dov). Rabbi Avraham Dov Auerbach (the brother of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, head of the ”Or Sameach” Yeshiva). Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach Shalita (head of ”Ma'alot Ha'Torah” Yeshiva. His signature is from his first year as an Avrech of ”Etz Chaim”!) Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ruchamkin (the father-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach) Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Cheshin (one of the most prominent rabbis of Breslev) Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tikochinsky (the manager of the Etz Chaim institutions) Rabbi Nechemya Cheshin.
