Large, Important Collection - More than 200 Autographs of Jewish Leaders, Writers and Intellectuals - Most of Them from the Beginning of the 20th Century until the Establishment of the State - Some of Them Early and Rare - Collection of paper clippings with signatures. The collection is important for several reasons: Some of the autographs are extremely rare. Some are early - from the beginning of the 20th century. Many of them are from an early period of the signatories. For example, the autograph of Ben Gurion is from World War I while his more familiar autographs are usually from later periods. Another example, an early autograph of Yitzchak Ben Zvi, referring to his father. In addition, many of the autographs, despite being short are very interesting with respect to their content and addressee. Many of the signatures are important. For example: • Tile page from the book of the writer and researcher, one of the first members of the Enlightenment Movement in Russia, Eliezer Zvi Zweifel, with a long, nice dedication in his handwriting. • Dedication by the intellectual writer Avraham Ber Gotlober to Chacham Yosef Chazanowitz (well-known researcher. His collection of books constituted the base of the National Library). Extremely rare. • Signature of the well-known writer and historian Shaul Pinchas Rabinowitz. • Rare document from 1914 by the Kiryat Sefer Union in Jaffa, signed by its heads. • Very early autograph of David Ben Gurion, on a document which is most likely from World War I, from before the country was conquered by the British. Ben Zion Netanyahu to Prof. Yosef Klausner, with an appeal: ”To my great teacher and rabbi”. As is well known, Netanyahu saw Klausner as his teacher in his revisionist worldview. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sees himself as following in the footsteps of his father and of Klausner. Faitlovitch received Rabbi Kook's blessing for his great enterprise for Ethiopian Jewry. The dedication: ”I thank the creator for enabling me to but this book … I the groom … Lodz”. This is an early, extremely rare signature from his youth in Lodz! • Interesting dedication by one of the first Chovevei Zion in Vilnius, Reb Eliezer Eliyahu Friedman: ”To a friend … from the good days the first of Zion and revival…”.
