Banknote from Mauthausen camp – 2 Marks - Mauthausen camp in Austria imprisoned those who opposed the Nazi regime. It was built in 1938 and became the major part of the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp complex. Since 1941, Jews from Holland and the Czech Republic were brought there. According to estimates, 120,000-320,000 people died in the camp, among them 38,000 Jews, most as a result of forced labor. Condition: Very good.
