Levi Eshkol (1895-1969) immigrated to Israel with the second Aliya and was among the founders of Deganya B and among the heads of Mapai for dozens of years. He was the Finance Minister in Ben-Gurion's government. In 1963 he became the second Israeli prime-minister. The Six-Day-War was fought during his second term.
