The Six Days, Yitzchak Yitzchak, 1968, dedication of the author - A book with three works of literature by Yitzchak Yitzchak. The Six-Day Haggada, 1968. A Haggada in honor of the IDF after the Six-Day-War, illustrations by Yosef Jacobson. A limited edition for the members of the kibbutz only. A humoristic, satiric booklet paraphrasing the Passover Haggada. Uses the motifs of the Passover Haggada to glorify the IDF soldiers and their victory in the war. 18 pp. Beit Chayai (House of my Life) – The Kibbutz, 1977. A booklet of poetry praising the kibbutz and explain its nature by a dialogue between a kibbutz-member and a non-kibbutz one. The booklet was published on the 50th anniversary of the settlement in Western Emek Yizrael of Kibbutz Ha'Sharon, of which the author was a member, which later changed its name to Kibbutz Yifat. 29 pp. Eglei Tal (Dew Drops) part B. A sort of newspaper for children with poems and stories for the children of kibbutz Yifat. 32 pp. Yitzchak Yitzchak was the penname of Yitzchak ben Yisrael (Schpack) (1906-1979). He was born in Breslau. He studied Hebrew in secret in Russia despite the communist prohibition. He was exiled by the communists, immigrated to Israel and joined Ha'Sharon Group. He served in the Jewish Brigade, was a guide of immigrants and a farmer. He published many poems in his special sarcastic style. He also wrote for children. The book is dedicated by the author to ”Friends of friends of Gila and Akiva 19.8.1978”. There is also a picture of the author and his signature. Attached to the book is a typewritten page, probably a draft of a poem that had not been printed. Condition: Very good.
