Hebrew Poetry Books that were printed abroad, Rare - 1. Sefer Ha'Shirim (The Book of Songs), Avraham Zvi Idelson (Ben Yehuda), Berlin 1912. The book of songs of the Jewish-German musicologist, researcher of recent Jewish music, Avraham Zvi Idelson (1882-1938). The book was published by the Company for Assisting the Jews of Germany, 1912, as a collection of Hebrew songs for kindergarten and school children. The book has an ex-libris sticker with an inscription of Jacob B. Brandeis of Vorotzlev. There is an unidentified signature on the title page. 134 pp. Condition: Very good. 2. Shivat Zion, Yitzchak Goldman, Vilna, 1888. Songs about Zion and the love of the Land of Israel Yitzchak ben Meir Goldman (1839-1905), poet, author and Hebrew journalist. He studied at the Minsk and Volozin Yeshivas. In 1861, he moved to Vilna, there he moved in educated circles, and especially befriended Adam Ha'Cohen. After becoming famous as a poet, he was asked by Gordon and Tzederboim to write for 'Ha'Melitz' newspaper and he published many articles in the newspaper anonymously. 64 pp. Condition: Excellent.
