Booklet printed on the occasion of the establishment of the Jerusalem Forest. Speeches and pictures from the planting ceremony. Excerpt from a letter of Ben-Gurion and the forest map. Forest Trees in the Homeland, by Yosef Weitz, 1953. The booklet is a kind of guide to the trees of the land, includes details about each tree: its natural habitat and characteristics. The Agricultural Settlement of Jews in the Land of Israel, by Dr. Alexander Bain, Jerusalem, 1944. Chapters on the history of settlement in the Land of Israel and the list of agricultural communities. Condition: Good. Cover slightly damaged. 8. National Fund Activities in the year 5711 (1950/1), by Joshua Ziemann, published by the Chief Bureau of the Jewish National Fund, Jerusalem, 1951. Summary of National Fund activities and operations in 1950/1, including demographic details of settlements on JNF lands. Condition: Very good. 9. The Voice of the Land: chapters of thought and memories, by Menachem Ussishkin (1948?). Menachem Ussishkin (1941-1863), a member of Hovevei Zion, was president of the Jewish National Fund. Under his management the JNF redeemed the lands of the Jezreel Valley, the Zevulun Valley, the Hefer Valley and more. Condition: Very good. 10.
