Preface by the author. Prof. Israel Friedlander (1876-1920) was Professor of Biblical Literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where he taught Bible, philosophy and history. One of the leaders of the conservative movement in the United States. 22 pp. 2. Congressional Speeches, Theodor Herzl, published by the Zionist Federation of America, New York, 1917/18. Speeches from the first through the sixth Congress. Translated by Simon Ginsberg (1890-1940), translator, writer, educator and Zionist activist. He immigrated to Israel in 1933 and was active in various organizations. Died while on mission in New York. 30 pp. 3. The Jewish War against the Romans and the Destruction of Jerusalem, written by Israel Belkind, published by haMeir press, New York, 1917/18. Accompanied by pictures of the Tower of David and the Western Wall, as well as a map of Israel during the Second Temple (in color). Attached is a colored map of the Roman Empire.
