Hgalgal (the wheel), bi-weekly for world problems and voice of Jerusalem, Volume I - Published by the Government Information Bureau in Jerusalem, on behalf of the British Intelligence Ministry. Volume I, issues 1-26, 1943. 'The Wheel' was the second magazine, after ‘Haolam Haze', that appeared in the community, to include photos and illustrations. Since it was authorized by the British, it was printed on quality paper. The cover include photos of soldiers marching in view of the Tower of David and the walls of Jerusalem. The magazine includes news from the battlefield and descriptions of the war in Germany, including maps and photos of German generals captured during the fighting, and schedules of London News Radio and Radio Jerusalem, Israel. 29.5 cm. Ownership inscription penciled on cover.
