Ceramic juglet - Ceramic juglet with ribbed body and single lug handle; chip missing from rim and neck; a similar juglet was found by Professor Joseph Patrich on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea with 0traces of balsam oil; the juglet has a singularly narrow neck which minimised evaporation of the very expensive oil; 13.4 x 10.1; Lewitt Collection, Jerusalem. ca.1st cent bce/ce, end of the Second Temple period.
