Manuscript with different Piyyutim for the Jewish festivals: Rosh Ha'Shana, Yom Kippur, Passover, Shavu'ot Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Yom Tov.
"A Piyyut said on Shabbat Bereshit and on a Sabbath of a marriage…"
"A Piyyut said before the time the Torah scroll is removed from the Holy Ark…"
The manuscript also contains Piyyutim referring to the life and events of the community, for example:
"The poem of Chavurat Gmilut Chassadim", implying the names of the members of the society and the year it was founded.
The final Piyyut of the manuscript is "Hodu El El Ki Tov Kir'u Bi'Shmo…" At the beginning of the Piyyut, it is noted that it was written for "the fire of 1755"
A similar manuscript appears in the catalog of the National Library. According to the catalog, the manuscript reflect the city of Cuneo and was most likely written there.
14 leaves. Written in nice, orderly, square script, Italian-style. In addition, various Italian-style decorations.
The manuscript most likely served the prayer leader since it contains instruction for prayer leaders between the Piyyutim.
22.5 cm.
Condition: Good. Well-preserved. Thick, high-quality leaves. Slight stains and wear. Simple ancient binding.
