AN AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOGRAPH OF BENNY LEONARD ( April 7, 1896 - April 18, 1947).  Born - Born Benjamin Leiner in the Jewish ghetto of the Lower East Side of New York City to Orthodox Jewish parents. Leonard was an American professional boxer who held the world lightweight championship for eight years, from 1917 to 1925. A majority of Jewish boxing historians still consider him the greatest Jewish boxer of the twentieth century for his record of wins during his period as lightweight champion.
