AN AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOGRAPH OF BILL "BOJANGLES" ROBINSON (May 25, 1878 -November 25, 1949). Born Luther Robinson, he was a tap dancer, actor, and singer, the best known and the most highly paid African American entertainer in the United States during the first half of the 20th century. He is most famous for his tap dancing sessions with Shirley Temple in a series of films in the 1930s, and had an illustrious career. Inscribed TO CARMINE WITH BEST WISHES ALWAYS BILL ROBINSON, 1934.
