Bidspirit auction | Japanese hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting

Japanese hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting an elderly water carrier holding a yoke (shoulder pole) with two suspended pots on golden cords. Executed in classic cobalt blue and white glaze with gilt accents on the robe and hat. Marked ”JAPAN” to the underside. Mid-20th century. Good condition overall — the figure and both removable pots are intact; minor wear to the gilding and light surface dust consistent with age. The two hanging pots are detachable and original.
