Group of four Bank of Israel 5 Lirot banknotes, dated 1958 (5718), with consecutive serial numbers 427847–427850 ח/1, printed in black. Obverse depicts a laborer with a sledgehammer against an industrial factory landscape; reverse features the ancient ”Shema servant of Jeroboam” roaring lion seal from Megiddo. Consecutive runs of this early series are scarce and sought after by Israeli banknote collectors. Condition: Uncirculated (UNC), all four notes crisp and fresh with sharp corners; one note shows a minor paper toning spot.
