Bidspirit auction | LOT of 6 – China,

LOT of 6 – China, early/mid-20th century banknotes. Includes: (1) Central Bank of China – ”Customs Gold Units” (CGU) series, Shanghai 1930 (American Bank Note Co.), Sun Yat-sen portrait — four notes: 100, 50, 20 and 5 Customs Gold Units; and (2) Central Reserve Bank of China (1940s, Nanjing/Wang Jingwei administration), Sun Yat-sen portrait — 100 Yuan and 1 Yuan. Condition: mixed — the CGU notes are about VF (some handling/foxing, the 100 CGU with pencil annotations); the two Central Reserve notes are heavily circulated (G–VG, the 1 Yuan with edge tears). The 1930 Customs Gold Units series is attractive and collectible, and the higher CGU denominations are the more sought-after notes here.
