Eliyahu Mizrachi on the Torah Published in Piorda, 1763 (תקכ”ג). A commentary on the great eagle, Rabbi Shlomo Yitzhaki (Rashi). The book has stamps from the Beit Midrash of the community of Averbitska. On the title page, there is a signature in handwriting: ”The Holy Yehuda Leib ben Rabbi Yitzhak of Madrid / Mabriz...”. There are also inscriptions in Hebrew and Latin, with dates from 1772 (תקל”ב) and 1797. Among the pages, there are several annotations in the handwriting of Rabbi Moshe Ephraim of Averbitska. He is believed to have founded the Beit Midrash of the Averbitska community, and his library was transferred there. See Vinograd-Rosenfeld CD. Rabbi Moshe Ephraim of Averbitska (author of D'varim Moshe, manuscript), served as the rabbi of Averbitska starting in 1829 (תצ”ט). He authored ”D'varim Moshe”, ”Beit Chochmah”, ”Beit Niddah”, and ”Beit Ephraim” – on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch. His works remain in manuscript form. He corresponded with Rabbi Akiva Eger, and his name appears in the responses of Rabbi Akiva Eger. His father, Rabbi Shimon, was also a friend of Rabbi Akiva Eger and is mentioned in his works.
