The Holy Gaon Rabbi Alter Avraham Baruch Rosenberg of Sighet was one of the great and important Hasidim of Vizhnitz. He was the son of the famous Hasid Rabbi Yudel Avner Rosenberg. He lived in Bitschkov and later in Sighet. Although he did not hold an official rabbinic position, he was renowned as an extraordinary Torah scholar, both in revealed and hidden aspects of the Torah. He passed away around the year 1930 (תר”ץ).
