She'elot u-Teshuvot Radbaz, Sadilkow 1836 - The Copy of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld Shu”t Radbaz, Parts I & II in one volume. The title page bears the handwritten signature of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld. Additionally, there are notes of affiliation to his grandchildren, as well as two handwritten annotations in part II. These may possibly be from Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld himself. Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld (1848-1932) was a leading figure in Haredi Jewry in the Land of Israel. A world-renowned scholar and a man of great sanctity and wisdom, he was a disciple of the ”Ketav Sofer” and Rabbi Avraham Shaag. He arrived in Jerusalem in 1873 with his mentor, Rabbi Avraham Shaag, and became one of the leading Torah scholars in the city. Renowned for his piety and holiness, he was an active leader in public affairs, and a prominent figure in the fight against Christian missionary activity and the Haskalah (Jewish Enlightenment) movements, which threatened the old Jewish community in Jerusalem. Condition: The book is in fair to good condition with some staining and minor worm damage.
