Yukin Vladimir Yakovlevich (1920-2000) ”Forest in autumn”, cardboard, oil 39 x 71 cm. 1994. Expert opinion by N.I. Sevastyanova - ”Forest in Autumn” is a panoramic landscape composition characteristic of Vladimir Yukin, in which nature is perceived as a celebration of color and light. The wide horizontal format enhances the feeling of space: the edge of the golden forest is unfolded almost like a theatrical backdrop against a rich blue sky, and the foreground — a green meadow flooded with light — sets a clear and calm rhythm to the work. Yukin builds the image on the contrasts and “sound” of the colorful layer: warm ochre-orange masses of foliage are contrasted with cold celestial and shadow shades, making the landscape seem to glow from within. The energetic oil painting and the texture on the cardboard preserve the feeling of the immediacy of the study, while the composition remains solid and decoratively assembled — in the spirit of the ”Vladimir school”, where the emotional expressiveness of color becomes the main thing. The work belongs to the author's mature period and is of collector's interest as a recognizable example of his late landscape style; the presence of an expert opinion confirms the attribution. Vladimir Yakovlevich Yukin (June 9, 1920 — July 10, 2000) was one of the largest Soviet landscape painters of the second half of the 20th century, People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1995), one of the founders of the Vladimir School of Landscape Painting art group. V. Y. Yukin's paintings are in Russian and foreign museums and private collections. He was born in the village of Mstera. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the medals ”For the Victory over Germany” and ”For the Liberation of Prague”, the Order of the Patriotic War II degree. He died on July 10, 2000 in Vladimir.
