Lovis Corinth
1858 Tapiau - 1925 Zandvoort - "Selbstbildnis" - (1920) Lithografie/Papier. 30 x 24 cm, 44 x 31,7 cm. Sign. r. u.: Lovis Corinth. Das Blatt liegt lose. Zwei horizontale Falzknicke am oberen sowie unteren Rand. Leicht gebräunt. Etwas wellig. - Lit.: Müller 464. Corinth ist einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des deutschen Impressionismus. Er studierte an der Münchener Akademie und an der Pariser Académie Julian. 1888 zog er nach Berlin und später nach München, wo er 1892 Mitglied der Secession wurde. Ab 1900 stellte er mit der Berliner Secession aus, deren Präsident er 1911 wurde.
