The sheet is loose. Foxing stains. Soiled. The sheet was published as an annual edition of the Kestner-Gesellschaft Hannover. Damke studied painting at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Berlin from 1959-63. He came to serial compositions via collage in the 60s/70s. In the 80s/90s, monochrome color surfaces and collage-like composite forms dominated. In 1979, Damke became a visiting professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Helwan University in Cairo. From 1972-2004, he was a professor at the Münster University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Design.
