In 1974 he became professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Winner of the Villa Massimo in Florence. Made numerous trips to Iceland, the Lofoten Islands and India. The artist achieves a rigor in his landscape depictions. All his works are in the great tradition of German Expressionism and yet are aware of their independence. Represented in collections and museums.
