Inscribed in an unknown hand on the reverse of the frame: Rudolf Jahns / signed - under the mount - and / identified as no. 01 - / design 1921 - collaged in the 1970s - / purchased on 4.1.1981 - at Kühl - Kirchrode. Matted. Framed under glass. Slight lightstain. Slight white discoloration in the central area. Rudolf Jahns was involved with Constructivism in Hanoverian art of the 1920s. He belonged to the group ”die abstrakten hannover” and gained supra-regional significance. 1924 Participation in an exhibition at the ”Sturm”, Berlin. His works are represented in many collections, from Berlin to New York.
