The large centerpiece ”The Birth of Beauty” was realized according to Scheurich's design drawings. The production books list a total of 15 objects cast. Its theme reflects Scheurich's interpretation of ”Venus Anadyomene” as he took it from Hesiod's Theogony. In this, the goddess Venus is born from the foam of the sea, and she is honored by Tritons and Nereids through the gifting of pearls and treasures of the sea. Scheurich interprets the pure white material of the porcelain shard as the birth material of beauty - he stands here equal to the sea and shapes the divine body. -Condition: Triton's right middle finger loosely attached, firing crack in the base area (externally visible approx. 3 cm).
