White, glazed porcelain. Pastel-toned underglaze painting. Blue ground. Underglaze three blue wavy lines under a crown. 1st choice. Underglaze blue date: 3/9 1926 and painter's signature: Jenny Meyer. Incised form no. 2388 and mark E. H. 50 cm, D. 19.6 cm. - Lit.: Kopenhagener Porzellan und Steinzeug. Unikate des Jugendstil und Art Déco. Cologne 1991. No. 64. Baluster-shaped body with a tapered neck and flared mouth. On both sides large white poppy blossoms with reduced grey-brown and greenish internal drawing. Jenny Meyer (1866 Frederiksberg - 1927 same place) worked from 1892 at the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Copenhagen under Arnold Krog as an underglaze painter for unique pieces. -Condition: Minimal scratch marks, internally dirty.
