Light green glass, surface matte etched like ice glass. Violet blossoms painted in polychrome enamel. Leaves and stems in gold. Ground pontil mark. Golden mark on the pontil. H. 35 cm. The vase comes from the series with the Mont Joye L. & Cie signum. ”The term ”Mont Joye” originates from the old battle cry Montjoie Saint-Denys, the epitaph of the French kings buried in the Abbey of Saint-Denis. The gilded signum shows the bust of Bishop St. Denis with miter and crozier.” (Hartmann, p. 688).
