Inscribed on verso of passe-partout. Framed under glass. K. Fussmann studied 1957-1961 at the Folkwangschule in Essen and at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin. In 1974 he became a professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Award winner of the Villa Massimo in Florence. Undertook numerous trips to Iceland, to the Lofoten Islands and India. In his landscape depictions, the artist achieves a certain rigor. All his works stand in the great tradition of German Expressionism and yet are aware of their independence. Represented in collections and museums.
