Chinese Export Famille-Rose Armorial Plate - Chinese Export Famille-Rose Armorial Plate China, Qing Dynasty, 18th - 19th century. Porcelain with polychrome and gold painting. D. 23 cm. H. 2.9 cm. Condition: Some slight superficial scratches. There is a sticker with a lot number on the plate. In the middle is a coat of arms with a shield surrounded by leafy tendrils, on which a helmet rests. A similar plate was sold at an auction by Tajan. According to their description, the De Heere family originally came from Middlebourg and Dordrecht in the Netherlands. A service with this coat of arms is said to have been commissioned by Huijbrecht Johan De Heere when he worked for the VOC (Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie) between 1740 and 1763.
