Two Tibetan Bronze Buddhas: Dzambhala and Kubera/Jambhala - Two Tibetan Bronze Buddhas: Dzambhala and Kubera/Jambhala Tibet, Qing Dynasty, probably 19th century. Bronze, patinated and partially gilded. Total weight: 550 g. H. approx. 10.5 cm each. Two bronze figures: Dzambhala and Kubera/Jambhala. The base of the Kubera figure bears a Buddhist symbol mark. Condition: Signs of age and wear, partially rubbed. Dzambhala: The figure sits on a lotus throne. On his left arm, he holds the money-spitting mongoose, while his right hand grasps a Himan skull kapala. Kubera/Jambhala: With a fierce expression and flaming hair, he stands on a human figure. He also carries the money-spitting mongoose on his left arm, while his right hand is raised and grasps a Himan skull kapala. Both Dzambhala and Kubera/Jambhala are considered Buddhist deities of wealth. They embody abundance, prosperity, and financial stability and support practitioners in overcoming poverty and hardship.
