Large Decorative Bronze Vase with Relief Decor of Dragon, Phoenix, Qilin, and Turtle - Large Decorative Bronze Vase with Relief Decor of Dragon, Phoenix, Qilin, and Turtle Japan, Meiji period, probably 19th century. Bronze, patinated. H. 73 cm. Diameter of mouth: 40 cm. Signs of age and wear. A few small holes on the body. Very decorative: On the upper part of the vase's body, a dragon winds its way among clouds. In the middle section, a phoenix and a qilin are depicted against a natural background. On the lower part, two turtles appear in the waves.
