Model by Konrad Hentschel (1872 Cölln - 1907 Meißen) from 1904. Hentschel, who had been working as a modeler at the Meissen manufactory since 1889, is considered one of the most influential Art Nouveau artists there. He designed various service forms and figural sculptures, among whose best-known creations are the so-called Hentschel children. His brother, the painter Rudolf Hentschel (1869-1951), was also employed in Meissen between 1895 and 1933. -Condition: firing crack, crazing/glaze cracks, 3 feet damaged, one wing part improperly restored/glued.
