Standing Crowned Khmer Buddha in Lopburi style - Standing crowned Khmer Buddha in Lopburi style Thailand, probably 17th / 18th century. Bronze, wooden base. Weight: approx. 2 kg. H. 33 cm, with base: 44 cm. Condition: Traces of age, slight traces of weathering. Fine, natural green and brown patina. The figure stands with hands in a Vitarka Mudra pose. The palms bear chakras as a sign of his enlightenment. Buddha is dressed in Khmer style: in a sampot that leaves the upper body bare, a cloak, and a magnificent belt. He wears large earrings and a high, pointed crown. The statue is mounted on a wooden block.
