Small Yellow-Green Craquelure Vase in Ge-Yao Style - Small yellow-green craquelure vase in Ge-Yao style China, probably 19th-20th century. Ceramic, glazed with fine craquelure. H. 11.5 cm, diameter of the mouth: approx. 4 cm. In Ge-Yao style. Condition: Very well preserved, with signs of use. Ge-yao ware is a classic Chinese ceramic known for its thick, soft glaze and characteristic craquelure, which often shows both fine and coarse cracks referred to as ”golden thread and iron line”. Mostly grey, cream-colored, or greenish in tone, Ge-yao is characterized by simple elegance and is appreciated for its subtle, restrained beauty.
