Large gilded bronze statue of a seated Buddha - Large gilded bronze statue of a seated Buddha Thailand, probably 18th/19th century. Bronze, patinated and newly gilded. H. 34.5 cm, Weight approx. 6.95 kg. The Buddha sits in Vajrasana on a lotus pedestal, which rests on a stepped platform. The right hand shows the Earth-touching mudra. Signs of age visible; the offering bowl is missing. Gilding rubbed in places.
